Brand identity, menus and print for a bold, inclusive bistro in Paris's 11th arrondissement.

Hors cadre means "outside the frame". This bistro in Paris's 11th wanted to step away from the polished, curated look of the city's dining scene and feel like what it is: wine-stained wood, a loud laugh, a plate of radishes. It needed an identity that welcomes everyone and never takes itself too seriously.
Eat slowly. Stay late. A heavy, generous serif wordmark that breaks across the edge of every page, loose ink drawings of the table, and handwritten asides like "mop up the sauce" and "ignore the phone". Two colours, bordeaux and paper cream, carry it from the menu to matchbooks, napkins and tote bags.
